After committing over a half-million words to paper and publishing them and all their faults for the whole world to see, I am frequently reminded of the single, most important thing I have learned through the exercise of thousands of hours of reading, writing, and research.

There are no bad people.

Despite cries of evil and badness that erupt Vesuvius-like from dawn to dusk and from sunset to sunrise, I have concluded that there have not been, are not and will not be bad people on this good earth. The Greatness that created us and everything we are cognizant of never created a bad person. Unfortunately, there are too many good people who make bad choices. A bad choice, however, does not make a person bad or evil.

The most despicable person you know is a good person and despicable in your eyes only because he or she made a bad choice.
