Desert Reflections: Trapped

Fr Paul sees the parable of the unjust steward in today’s gospel as a perfect example of God’s generosity even in the most unlikely of circumstances and entirely appropriate on the feast of Leo the Great who in 452 AD somehow convinced Attila the Hun to bypass Rome.

Today’s Readings

I aspire to proclaim the Gospel [so that] … those who have never been told of him shall see, and those who have never heard of him shall understand.
ROM 15:14-21

“The master commended that dishonest steward for acting prudently. For the children of this world are more prudent in dealing with their own generation than the children of light.”
LK 16:1-8
