Desert Reflections: The Sacred Heart of Jesus

Fr Paul discusses the impact of St Margaret Mary Alacoque’s revelations about the loving and approachable sacred heart of Jesus on St Alphonsus, as he fought the Jansenist belief in a cruel and unforgiving God.  Blood and water flows from the pierced heart of Jesus in today’s gospel – God’s own son loving us so much that he offered his life so that we may live.
