Jesus appears to the disciples in today’s gospel as they are discussing the report of how two of them had encountered him on the road to Emmaus. Fr Peter points out, however, that today’s gospel is only the beginning of the rest of the story. It’s an ever-continuing story in which we, too, are invited to encounter Jesus in the “breaking of the bread.”
Peter said to the people:”The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus”
